 Hello Claire's Corner!  For my "Trends in Technology" project, I chose the topic of augmented reality. AR is a piece of technology that merges the real world with digital images. This technology can be used in many different sectors such as education, gaming, advertising, marketing, healthcare, and more. Despite the advantages that it has to create more immersive and interactive experiences for its users, there are a few disadvantages, including the high cost of implementation and potential for misuse. My presentation also described the potential future for AR, both with the merging of AR with AI and the growth of Smartglasses and headsets. I concluded my presentation by describing my personal thoughts on AR. I first used AR through simple Snapchat filters, making me a part of the late majority according to the Diffusion of Innovation. Hi everyone! My name is Claire Natoli! I am a student-athlete at the University of South Florida, where I play lacrosse, and I am from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Integrated Public Relations and Advertising and minoring in Athletic Coaching. I have been playing lacrosse since I was five years old and played club lacrosse for Dynasty Elite while living in Pennsylvania. I continue to stay involved in my club through coaching both the youth and older teams in tournaments and camps. I aspire to work in sports marketing/PR or as a lacrosse coach because of my strong passion for sports and desire to be part of a team.   Outside of my sport, I love spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy watching other sports, including baseball, volleyball, and basketball. I also enjoy listening to music, and some of my favorite artists are The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Noah Kahan, and The Lumineers.
